Position Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to support and optimize our global supply chain operations. This role blends hands‑on daily execution with strategic analysis, with approximately 50% focused on day‑to‑day logistics activities and 50% on process improvement, cost management, and operational optimization. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning critical logistics processes, collaborating cross‑functionally, and driving continuous improvement across our transportation and trade operations.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations (≈50%)
- Process logistics‑related invoices, ensuring accuracy, timely payment, and alignment with contracted rates.
- Manage import and export documentation, compliance requirements, and shipment processing across global lanes.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Maintain accurate logistics data in internal systems, including shipment records, cost data, and carrier performance metrics.
- Support day‑to‑day transportation and warehouse activities as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Analysis, Optimization & Spend Ownership (≈50%)
- Analyze logistics spend across transportation modes, warehousing, and value‑added services; identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Own and manage the logistics budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance service levels.
- Monitor carrier performance and support vendor management activities, including KPI tracking and quarterly business reviews.
- Support strategic initiatives such as network optimization, carrier sourcing, and automation of manual workflows
Education and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain operations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of import/export processes, Incoterms, and trade compliance fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Excel/Sheets; experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS systems is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational accuracy.
