Position Summary

We are immediately searching for a Supply Planner who will be responsible for developing and implementing a master production plan and inventory management strategy to support customer service goals and achieve our company’s objectives.  The key position is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels, levels and forecast accuracy and safety stock levels.

The Supply Planner acts as the lead interface for the Americas to manufacturing and distribution sites to resolve any supply issues.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production/purchasing plans that meet established customer service targets and inventory goals
  • Develop and implement a 30-day production schedule for finished goods and dependent demand requirements for SKU’s assigned, ensuring that the schedule support sales goals, inventory financial targets, and minimizes product age and obsolescence
  • Analyze and evaluate current manufacturing capacities to determine when additional capacity is required to support sales demand, raise the concern to management to seek capacities from sister companies
  • Maintain finished good inventory targets for assigned items/customers.
  • Develop and maintain system supply planning parameters settings and attributes to develop a feasible rough-cut production plan
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Daily/weekly review meetings with production schedulers on late production orders; identify the reason of the delay, current status and the new production finish date and update on the production scheduling report
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans
  • Place purchase orders for inventory needs
  • Provide lead time guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Recommend schedule alternatives to reduce and/or prevent order backlogs
  • Other Supply Chain activities as assigned.

 

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4 years of experience with emphasis in production and material planning activities
  • SAP experience or similar ERP system is preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced level user of Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
